Oz Nature Tours is a recent initiative in Almería. It was just launched in 2010 after many years of study and work as a professional nature photographer of environment and nature in the interior of Almería.
We provide a complete range of services related with nature tours, bird watching, and popular cultural heritage that is still alive in our remote mountain villages. Individual visitors are cared for as well as groups, and many rural accommodations in the interior of Almeria also cooperate with us. While a couple of standard tours and programs are readily prepared, we will be happy to attend any special wish or or need for any group of visitores between 2 up to 100 persons.
First time visitors to Almería are pleasantly surprised by the tremendous variety this province has to offer and, more and more people every year are discovering not only the sun soaked beaches and crystal clear water but also the natural beauty of this part of Spain. It is a land of geographic contrasts with long sandy beaches and also small secluded coves, desert areas and fertile expanses with varied vegetation, and high mountains and extensive plains. From the snows of the Sierra Nevada you can drive to the only desert in Europe (Sierra de Alhamilia) in about an hour.
One of our specialities is bird watching. Bird species change with time of the year, altitude and vegetation. As example, during a Day Tour we will pass through the different habitats as: oak groves, pine groves, rocky mountains, desert gorges, badlands, ramblas or orchards in the typical village of Turrillas. Almost unlimited other options exist - you name it, we've got it!
