Surprising suggestions for enjoying Andalucia

Natura 2000 is a network of protected areas of importance at a European level, all of them managed according to the same criteria as those accepted throughout the 27 counties of the European Union. It was set up to protect the diversity of species and habitats found in Europe as a whole. In every one of the Natura 2000 zones the basic conditions for animals and plants to flourish with minimum human interference is guaranteed.

The Natura 2000 network was organised in Andalucía by adding 64 new areas to its already existing network of protected nature reserves, which were all automatically incorporated into Natura 2000. Today there are 191 areas belonging to Natura 2000 in Andalucía, covering more than a third of the whole region.    For more information about the Natura 2000 network in Andalusia, pls. download our dosier at the link beside.
